Youth Cross Country, Track & Field, Race Walking


Track & Field events take place in the spring and summer; Cross Country events are held in the Fall; Race Walking competitions are held year round. All offer a variety of both competitive and fitness opportunities, and they lead up to regional, national and even international competitions. Only USATF members may participate in USA Track & Field’s Junior Olympic program.

Many of America’s top collegiate and post-collegiate athletes began their road to fame by competing in the USATF Junior Olympic programs. They include stars such as Amber and Ashton Purvis, Javid Best, Jordan Hasay and Olympians such as Jeremy Wariner, Allyson Felix, Sanya Richards, and Lauryn Williams.

Level 1 School $100 Reimbursement for Youth Club Coaches

The Pacific Board of Athletics and Youth Committee is providing $100.00 reimbursement for any PA Youth club coach who attends a Level 1 School from 1 Jan’26 to 31 Dec’26.
Eligibility: Coaches must be 1) 3 step compliant at time of Level 1 completion, and at time of reimbursement request, 2) coaches must be actively coaching with an accredited USATF Pacific Youth Club, 3) Coaches must complete google docs reimbursement form, 4) Provide Level 1 certificate of completion within this timeframe.

USATF Youth “Journey to Gold” Scholarship Opportunity

USATF offers the “Journey To Gold Scholarship” in the amount of $5000.00 to be awarded to High School graduating Seniors who have committed to a college or university with the overall goal focused on achieving gold status in their academic and eventual professional life. The deadline for submitting applications for the 2024 grant is May 20, 2024. CLICK HERE for the 8 page application.
