TF Shannon Rowbury may get upgraded to bronze for 2012 Olympic 1500

The PA’s Shannon Rowbury may end up with an Olympic bronze medal from the London 2012 Women’s 1500m. Rowbury, who originally finished in 6th place, saw her saw her official finish moved up to 4th as the gold and silver finishers, Asli Cakir Alptekin and Gamze Bulut (both representing Turkey) were disqualified for doping violations. Tatyana Tomashova, representing Russia, was then moved from 4th into the silver medal position with Abeba Aregawi moving into bronze. XC XC Grand Prix increases prize money to $8000 total

  In addition to the $1,500 in prize money for each race, the end of season Grand Prix prize money has been increased from $5,500 to $8,000 for 2024, mostly focused on Team prize money, as follows: Open teams:  $650, 425, 300, 225, 125. Open individuals:  $675, 375, 200, 150, 100, 50. Masters teams:  $250, 125. Masters individuals:  $175, 100, 75 The top five Open runners and the top one runner for each Age Group also receive complimentary entries for the following year.
